While I was undergoing chemotherapy for my cancer treatment, I was referred to Make-A-Wish UK so I would have something to brighten an otherwise dark experience. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions at the time, I was given a 5-year extension for my wish. In 2022, i finally made my decision. I wished to see the euro vision song contest being held in Liverpool the following year. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I cannot thank the Make-A-Wish team enough. After my wish was granted, I was invited by the Make-A-Wish team to participate in their Young persons leadership board (STARboard). I was absolutley thrilled at this offer and was very happy to join them. As a member of this board, I have been able to work on some very exclusive and meaningful opportunities; including editing the live on screen graphics for the charity’s “Overcooked Live” event that you can watch below:
